Arts, Health, Wellbeing, EcoLiving and Community Grassroots festival… starting on Friday 14th July at 6pm until Sunday 16th July at 6pm

This festival is a family friendly grass roots, organic permaculture gathering.

Everyone is welcome to be part of it. The aim is to cocreate the conditions for working together in harmony and joy. It’ll be a great opportunity to network and meet and greet the local grassroots community in the county.

Strengthening healthy, loving and friendly connections for human race and all sentient beings.

The purposes of Tara Festival:

1. To encourage creativity, wellbeing and spiritual interests.
2. To strengthen and enrich community life.
3. To bring mindfulness and environmental awareness into daily life.
4. To eat, play, talk, sing and dance together with friends and meet new friends.

It intails finding friends to give sessions, workshops, play music, healing work, story telling… Anything you feel is healthy and permaculture oriented. All would be by donations only. So, friends who wish to participate need to have the heart of sharing, giving and receiving.

The festival is based on Love and compassion and wishing to bring a bright and health future for our society and next generations…

There will be free camping on site.

The following are some detail information to help you prepare for coming to the Festival.

Your presence is precious for everyone attending the festival and your input is invaluable.

*Food to bring with you
1. A cooked vegetarian dish (without onion, leek and garlic if possible, vegan food are also welcome)
2. Raw vegetables, cooking or olive oil, herb, anything useful for cooking.
3. Fruit, juice, cake, nuts, Soft drink, tea, milk, bread
4. Milk or Soya milk and breakfast…


There are about 60-80 if not more friends so please bring enough food to share with all…. 

Please bring food in environmentally friendly containers.
Leave no trace, take all rubbish away with you when you leave.

We are creating Tara Festival together with no alcohol, drugs, and smoke. Out of respect to all the participants, if one is not abiding by the principles or arriving drunk or on drugs, we would kindly invite you to leave the festival. and thank you for your cooperation.

*We will need your helping hands in all aspects of the Festival,
in particular cooking, cleaning,
welcoming people when they arrive,
looking after each other.

*Things to bring:
1. Camping & Waterproof gear
2. Cutlery and crockery
3. Utilities, and 1 or 2 toilet rolls each
4. Cushions and blankets (for meditation and sitting)

* Directions –

If you ‘re coming from the Gort side of Kilchreest it s the 4th house on the left after the Village Inn pub.

Coming from loughrea side to kilchreest, it s the second house on the right after the narrow bridge, directly after the ” Burren Lowlands ” sign.

Coming from Galway….i would recommend those without sat Navs to go through loughrea You can go cross country after Craughwell but it s tricky!

*We would like to emphasize the festival is based on donation only so we will put out a donation box for general cost at the entrance.

For each individual workshops and sessions there is separate donation box.

Some parking will be available for the festival at the rear of the village Inn Kilchreest thanks to Willie & Imelda Gloster Proprietors. Please park your car/van etc with consideration for customers using the car park.
