Come along and get involved in transforming a key City Centre site and empty concrete yard space into a thriving Biodiverse and Edible habitat and an arts and Ecology project with Third Space Galway and Permaculture Trainer – Hannah Mole

Are you a gardener looking for a more agroecological approach, or someone looking to get involved in local EcoArts & PermaCulture projects, re imagining vacant spaces, using regenerative agri/culture and ‘no dig’ methodologies or food forest gardening? 
Are you a member of  a TidyTowns Group, Residents’ Association or other Community Group who wants to be involved in Greening the City, growing community in tackling Biodiversity Loss and creating new city wildlife habitats and more positive urban green spaces where all can thrive and flourish.
Are you a city dweller interested in seeing how to grow more organic food locally and creating new opportunities for urban agriculture in the city, addressing access to local organic food for all, food miles and climate change?
Interested in how to build a greener, more sustainable city by exploring our bioregional possibilities for biodiversity, local food security and a local food sovereignty movement, creating healthier, more resilient local communities?
Are you a local artist with an interest in Climate Change?
Then please come along to the Old School House and relearn about living in harmony with nature, Permaculture design in the City and get involved in cocreating Galway City’s latest PermaCulture adventures!
TSG together with the local community have been growing and connecting green spaces and permaculture initiatives throughout the city- actively linking up Fruitful Futures tree planting project, Westside Edible Forest Garden, Corrach Buí Hugelkultur bed, and the Galway Eglinton Canal Permaculture and Biodiversity Trail, please join us on our latest Permaculture workshops, and learning new ways to green the city for a more biodiverse, sustainable, resilient urban ecosystem.

Community Day of Conversation, Action and Permaculture Workshops at the Old School House, Presentation Road

Come help us establish the proposed new Regen EcoArts & Cultural Hub at this vacant City School property and assist us with our ongoing City EcoSystems Restoration Project  on the Eglington Canal.
Call out for materials*
The second of our Permaculture EcoSystems Restoration workshops is coming up this Saturday Nov 24th 10-4.30pm in Galway city centre, and we’re gathering materials to start transforming the vacant yard space with some of the design ideas that came out of the first workshop Last week..
If you have: Plants, seeds, trees, compost, tools, anything that can be upcycled or reused pots, pallets, wood, large planters etc, skills and ideas -please bring them!
Materials can be dropped off during the week or on Saturday.

This will be a hands-on day of cocreative construction and design actions on Saturday, building, planting, moving as well as furthering the design possibilities together.
For anyone new to Permaculture we will repeat the introductory presentation alongside the practical..
