Róisín Ní Fhaoláin

Was born in Galway City in 1980 and went to school in Salthill. Her family is from Cararoe and She is a native speaker. In 2004, She graduated from the National College of Art and Design with a degree in Fine Art. During her college years, She started to become interested in mental health awareness and nature connection and worked on art projects with inner city communities. From 2005 – 2008, She worked with street children on urban gardening and art projects and has revisited several times since to continue work there. In 2010,  She graduated from the Kinsale College of Further Education with a certificate in Permaculture. She has been involved in several community campaigns over the years and continues to be an advocate for the environment and social justice in her work on community and urban gardening projects here in Galway. She works also as an illustrator and currently studying plant based medicine with a particular interest in our native herb and tree lore.
