GALWAY COMMUNITY HARVEST FESTIVAL TALKS Oct 20th and COMMUNITY POTLUCK Oct 22nd

Third Space Galway are delighted to team up with the Galway Vegan community and cohost a ‘Plant Powered Potluck’ with a Community HARVEST and Halloween theme

As it’s coming to the end of our growing season we are delighted to cohost a Community Harvest Potluck, as part of a weekend celebration, promoting local community food, with local sustainable food champions, the Galway Vegans and Galway City European Green Leaf.

As part of our Community Potluck event, we are also delighted to cohost a talk on Food Democracy: Sustainable and Community food growing initiatives by Eimhin David Callahan, co-founder of the Food Commons at Birr Community Growery,

You don’t have to be Vegan to attend… but please bring your favourite vegan snack, dish, dessert or beverage! Food can be homemade or shop-bought as long as it’s vegan (no meat, eggs, dairy or honey)…  ideally with local produced organic ingredients. Herbal Teas, coffee and a choice of non-dairy milks are provided.

And to encourage you to use more locally grown organic ingredients we are delighted to offer you the chance to use some fruit and veg harvested and generously donated by our local Community Gardens and local Organic growers!! To avail of these veg for your dish.. please visit, Stephanie at the Organic Wholefood Zero Waste stall, at next weeks Tiny Traders Market on Sat Oct 21st from 12-5pm in Arus na nGael .. where they will be allocated on a first come first served basis

EVERYONE IS WELCOME – This is a Family friendly FREE EVENT…

which takes place as part of a weekend Community Garden Harvest and Sustainable Food Celebration, supported by Galway City European Green Leaf, Galway City and Galway County Council Local Agenda21 funding, Galway Vegans and various local Community Gardens and Growers.

We aim to be as eco-friendly as possible… on the day.. . We have some re-useable plates and cutlery but not enough for everyone unfortunately…. We will have of compostable paper plates …and cutlery .. but where possible please try to bring your own plate so that we can cut down on waste.

COMMUNITY HARVEST SEMINAR 2017 on Friday Oct 20th in the Harbour Hotel from 2.00pm to 5.00pm

This is a Free event celebrating Galway Community Gardens and local Sustainable Food Growers and Producers and of interest to anyone interested in knowing more about growing their own food!
