Community Garden Harvest Vegan Potluck

A vegan potluck with a Community HARVEST and sPoOkY twist!

Since it’s coming to the end of our growing season we are delighted to cohost a Community Harvest Vegan Potluck, as part of a weekend celebration promoting local food and the transition to a healthier, more sustainable plant based diet, with local sustainable food champions, the Galway Vegans and European Green Leaf

and as its coming up to Halloween…lets dress up!! And we’ll play some traditional Irish Halloween games 🙂 with a prize for best costume!

We are also delighted to cohost a talk on Food Democracy, sustainable and community food growing from Eimhin David Callahan, co-founder of the Food Commons at Birr Community Growery.

Fancy dress isn’t mandatory but very much encouraged 🙂
There will be a small prize for the best costume!

So bring your favourite vegan snack, dish, dessert or beverage. Food can be homemade or shop-bought as long as it’s vegan (no meat, eggs, dairy or honey)… and ideally local!

To encourage you to use more locally grown organic ingredients we are delighted to offer you the chance to use some ingredients harvested and generously donated by our local Community Gardens and local Organic growers!! To avail of these veggies for your dish.. please visit, Stephanie at the Organic Wholefood Zero Waste stall ‘Contain Yourself’ at next weeks Tiny Traders Market on Sat Oct 21st in Arus na NGael ..

if you have a glut of vegetables or fruit from your garden, that you’d like collected, or would like to contribute to the Community Harvest Pot.. please contact Martina 0872201972

IF YOU DON’T BRING FOOD YOU ARE NOT WELCOME!!! Potlucks are run so that vegans and people interested in vegan food can meet like minded people and share and enjoy delicious food.

There is a microwave to heat up food. Tea, coffee and a choice of non-dairy milks are provided.

EVERYONE IS WELCOME – This is a FREE EVENT… which takes place as part of a weekend Community Garden Harvest and Sustainable Food Celebration, supported by European Green Leaf, Galway City and County Council Local Agenda21 funding, Galway Vegans and local Community Gardens and Growers.

We try to be as eco-friendly as possible. We have some re-useable plates and cutlery but not enough for everyone unfortunately. We will have plenty of biodegradable paper plates …but where possible please try to bring your own plate so that we can cut down on waste.
