Martina Finn

Martina Finn completed an M.A. in Visual Arts Practices, (MAVIS) IADT, Dun Laoghaire, specialising in the curatorial strand with an interest in furthering a local socially engaged arts platform in Galway.

Reflecting work experience in a variety of arts, community and cultural contexts, she is interested in developing a curatorial practice that responds to and addresses specific socio-political, cultural rights and environmental issues. She is interested in socially engaged, collaborative and participatory arts practices, that generate situations for active social and convivial information exchange and that facilitates transdisciplinary research activities as key dynamics in artistic and cultural practice; with the primary aims of  opening up the cultural production process to a broader audience, facilitate greater opportunity for activist arts and cultural strategies, inspire solidarity and collective actions and an enlivened commons.

She holds a BA in Social Science, Post Graduate Diploma in Multimedia Communications, Post Graduate Diploma in Arts Policy and Practice,  FETAC Level Art & Design, and MA in Visual Art Practices.
